Logic and 8.0 surround

Hi,

just a quick question: are there plans to support octophonic 8.0 surround in future versions of Logic Pro?

I note that this post is four years old, and Apple has taken no action. It is a bit disappointing that Reaper, a $60 piece of software, has complete multichannel flexibility, while Logic is still limiting users to traditional home-theater surround setups. I realize that those of use using nontraditional diffusion is not a huge part of the market, but I can't believe that it would be that much work for Apple to add this functionality. I would love to see this added to what is already a great DAW.
