Is there any way to upgrade my 2012 edition Mac...

To whom it may concern,

I was wondering whether you can help me with this issue. I recently brought my Mac in for servicing because the hard drive crashed. They gave me the standard spinning hard drive 500 GB, but I was wondering if it might be possible to upgrade this hard drive the next time it fails to a solid state one.
