iTunes can’t read data from “iPhone...

My brand new iPhone 8 plus connects to computer just fine.  iTunes pops up and shows it’s an iPhone 8’plus and shows the MEID/IMEI.      After a few seconds a message pops up saying can’t read data ok iPhone and to restore to factory default which I do not want to do since I can’t back up the phone   with official apple software.      

I have tried all the suggestions (Re installing drivers/ updating drivers manually, restarting phone and computer, using different computer/cables/usb ports) nothing works.      

When I plug my iPhone 6plus in it works completely fine in any port with any cable on any computer at any time.    Why will my 8 plus’ data not be read by iTunes. What is the problem. How Can I fix without restoring to factory?  Please help
