Replace sound files without loosing my work

Hello !

Is it possible to replace files without loosing automations and cuts/transitions in Logic Pro X ? For example if I create a mix with MP3 files and next I want to do the same with WAVE files... For the moment I have to recreate my mix by searching where I cut the file, etc, but can't we juste replace the file (which has the same timecode in fact) ?
