iMessage not syncing nor is my iMac on Find my Mac

Yesterday, I noticed my iMac and my laptop would not send messages anymore.  Today, I also realized they are no longer appearing on Find my iphone app.  Both are online and in current use, on the same network.  I am logged into iMessage, nothing has changed there.  I have logged out, logged in, restarted phone, iMac and laptop, still nothing.  No pending updates.  iMessage works fine on phone.  Any other thoughts on what is causing all this mess?  Oh and Facetime calls appear to go thru, but person on other end states they didn't get a missed facetime (from iMac), works from iPhone.
