I need to download and upgrade to OSX Sierra 10.12 but i cannot locate it

Hi,

If you have not downloaded it from the App Store before, and your Mac supports High Sierra, you no longer can. If your Mac supports it, your update path is to High Sierra: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201475

What OS do you have now?

Why do you need to upgrade to Sierra 10.12 ?

You could ask a friend who has/had it, to download the Sierra installer file and copy the installer to your mac: the installer is not hardware related (maybe he has already made a backup).

Edit: do not download from a hacker site, only from the Appstore !

Try out the link you posted. It no longer shows an Install or Upgrade button for me, so it's useless. Sierra has also been pulled from my App Store Purchased.

I just did, and it showed a Download button.

I must be on somebody's bad list. No Download button for me, and no Sierra in Purchased anymore. Thanks for checking.
