How to turn off last app displayed on Apple Watch?

Hi,

I have an Apple Watch Series 2 with watchOS v4.0 installed.

Lately after I've installed a CarPlay head unit in my car and listened to music while driving, I noticed the Apple Watch always display the last song on the CarPlay even after I turned off the car and left it for more than 5 minutes.

At first it didn't bother me much, but after a couple of days and more driving, I begin to feel annoyed especially when I need to see what time is it and the Watch display the last song instead.

Is there a way to turn this off?
