Have just bought in AlDI a USB Microscope, says...

Have just bought in AlDI a USB Microscope, says on the box for Windows. Is there a Driver for using this on a MacBook Pro or a work around, as it would be just the job for my inquisitive Grandson at the right price.

Check the vendor site for driver downloads.

If it doesn't say Mac compatible on the box, that could be a problem.

NOT a problem - who needs drivers?

1 - Plug the microscope into a USB port

2 - Run Photo Booth (Free and included in Mac OSX)

3 - Adjust focus on  microscope - 10X excellent - 60X not bad - 200X not so great.

4 - click image capture button in Photo Booth.

By the way this the IDENTICAL device Celestron sell for over $200

Thanks heaps for the super helpful hint, would have never thought of Photobooth.
