Bluetooth Keyboard not connecting automatically

Ever since downloading the latest OS (11.0.02) my iPad will not connect with it’s Bluetooth keyboard automatically.  Even more infuriating is that if the keyboard is not used for a while it disconnects.   What can I do ?  I even tried replacing the keyboard but the problem still persists.

There are scattered reports across ALL iOS 11 compatible iPad models that there is a Bluetooth bug.

Not much you can do until Apple finally starts releasing better iOS 11 updates to fix all of the various iOS 11 issues.

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

Have you tried just forgetting the device in the Bluetooth settings and try just re-pairing the Bluetooth keyboard as new?

I haven’t tried either of those but will tonight.  I’m glad to hear there are other reports of Bluetooth issues, (at least it’s not just me).    Thanks for the advice.
