How long should my MacBook Pro battery last? (r...

I have recently bought the 2017 MacBook Pro non touch bar 128 gb model for university and I am experiencing between 3-3.5 hours battery life from a full charge. It is a new MacBook Pro which was recently purchased about three weeks ago.

I do not use demanding tasks and use it for surfing the web or leaving on a page whilst youtube plays in the background. Also an ethernet to wifi hotspot runs whilst I am at home. However such a short battery life compared to the ''upto'' 10 hours, is not justified by my usage as none of it is at all intensive. Is this a general issue or does my MacBook have a significantly low battery life.
