Best way to get Microsoft Office for my Mac?

I need Microsoft Word for my Mac for school, and I don't want to mess it up.  This Mac is new and I've never had one before.  Really need to get this done in a hurry. 

I just need to know the best way to get Microsoft Office onto my Mac.  Any suggestions?
