Using MIDI keyboard to scroll through 3rd party...

I have an Akai MPK249 and I would love to assign one of the buttons to scroll through VST presets. I know you can do that with logics own plugin instruments, but I would love to do that with other synths like Spire, Nexus etc ... Is there any way to do this? When I try to midi-learn and click on the button in the vst, Logic doesn't recognise the parameter.

I hate clicking my mouse every time.
