Unable to update iPad air2 to iOS 11

My iPad Air 2 won't update to iOS 11.  When I got a couple notices to update I selected remind me later, because I wasn't connected to wifi.  Now the notification is still present, but when I click on general/software update I get the message "ios10.3.3 your software is up to date".   My laptop is unavailable  so cannot use I tunes to update.

Are you sure it is an iPad Air 2? Does it have Touch ID: Use Touch ID on iPhone and iPad - Apple Support?

If it is, did you ever install beta versions of iOS on this iPad? If yes, remove the beta profile.

Yes, It has Touch ID, and is an air2.  No to installing beta versions of iOS.

Yes, It has Touch ID, and is an air2.  No to installing beta versions of iOS. Any other ideas?  Thanks!

Hi Aprilm50. You may have downloaded an update that's already outdated. Go to Settings > General > Storage and iCloud Usage. Tap on the first Manage Storage, the one for STORAGE. Wait for the list to populate. Look for an update, gear icon. If you find it, tap on it and select Delete.

The other possibility is that you don't have enough free storage on the iPad to complete the update. You need about 5 GB to do it. If you don't have the space, the computer is your only alternative.

Thanks for your reply, Diana.  No update gear icon, and I have 12GB  available.  Still a mystery.
