Lightning Digital AV adapter no longer mirrors ...

It stopped working as soon as I installed the Beta of 11.  I was hoping it would be fixed by the time General Release came it, but I had no such luck.  It came up for about 10 seconds after the 11.0.1 update, but has been dark ever since.  Any ideas how to get it working again? 

(I have tried two different official apple HDMI dongles on two different HDMI monitors.  None of the combinations work on my iOS 11 iPad, but all 4 combinations work on my iOS 10 iPhone.  Also, each monitor has its own HDMI cable - so, it's not the cable either.)
