Why does the "apps" page NOT appear on iTunes when I plug my iPhone to it?

The ability to manage apps in iTunes has been removed from the latest version of iTunes. You need to manage apps on the phone itself now.

Really? That is what I thought- but I preferred it on my desktop. Thank you.
