OS Sierra Notifications Center

Is there any way to turn the notifications center back to the dark colors? The bright colors make it extremely difficult for me to read and is actually really painful on the eyes when I open it up. I have to turn the brightness down super low just to tolerate it, and then it messes with everything else that's open. If there's no way to change it in this patch, is there a way to add the option to a later patch? I liked the notification center, and I honestly regret updating if it's going to be like this.

Unfortunately, no.

This is super annoying, I want the black notification center back. How should somebody read light grey text on a mid-grey background.
