Vertical Line on MacBook Pro 13/TB 2017

While typing last night on my 2017 MacBook Pro 13/TouchBar....a vertical line appeared on the display, slightly left of center.  Power off/on, VRAM reset, etc. did not fix the problem.  I took a screen shot that did NOT show the line, so it suggests to me that it's the display and not the graphics card.  I took a pic with my iPhone (below).  AppleCare confirmed that I need to take it in, so off it goes on Saturday to the Apple Store.

Anyone else experience this?  Was display replaced?  Am I correct in assuming that replacing the display means they replace the lid as well, as it's easier to replace the entire lid/display assembly?  I have my MBP covered in a SlickWraps carbon "sticker", so I'll have to replace that as well....

They can also look at one of my 4 USB-C ports that no longer works after less than 4 months...
