Super

I'm trying to help my husband with his MacBook Pro. It is *super* slow and has been for ages. He isn't short on storage, and we've never figured out the problem. Neither of us is very techy. I've just done an EtreCheck, and here it is, but I don't know what to look for. Any ideas? I note that Flashplayer comes up in red so I'm updating that. Otherwise, I don't know what to do with the EtreCheck info. Advice gratefully received.

Why do you have two different third party backup software packages installed?

As a possible test, I suggest you disable or uninstall both Carbonite and Crashplan to see if that has any impact on performance.

Carbonite is known to cause performance problems.

Also only 4 GB of RAM could contribute to the problems.

Post another EtreCheck Report after getting rid of the third party backup software.
