how do I clean up my start up items

my start up is slow how do I delete unwanted items

System Preferences > Users & Groups > select user account > select Startup Items tab > select item > click on the minus ( - ) button.

Click on apple logo , hold option key > system information > in the side bar select software , see what is installed in installations , extensions , start up items .

In safari preferences try to keep safari extensions as off , under users and groups keep login items as empty , they can be removed by clicking on minus sign .

Click on finder > Go > Computer > Macintosh HD > Library > start up items > make sure in start up items it is empty .

Enter in user library macOS Sierra: Library folder

Delete the entire contents from folders Caches , Cookies , Saved Application into the trash , these are temporarily files and will be recreated once Mac is restarted and trash bin is emptied .

Avoid using anti virus , third party apps downloaded from internet or any cleaners , they will create more issues in the system and can delete some important system files .
