Sierra is tied up by process nsurlsessiond?
Reboot the computer.
Reboot the computer.
REbooted 3 times, must post using iPhone when iMac is off as it ties up our internet. Just updated to Sierra.
You need to provide much more information. How do you know this is the problem? If you are using Activity Monitor then post a screen shot.
To Post A Screen Shot
- Press Command-Shift-4 which will change the cursor to crosshairs.
- Hold down the mouse button and use the crosshairs to select the part of the screen you wish to capture.
- Release the mouse button and the image will be saved to your Desktop.
- Click on the Camera icon in the toolbar of the forum message editor.
- Drag the image onto the Choose File button and click on the Insert button.
Provide some information on what you are doing when you noticed the issue such as what applications were running and what Login Items are installed. We really can't help much unless you help us know what's going on. Simply saying, "It's broke," doesn't help much. See Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question.
Sorry, iMac must be shut down for any internet access.
Tried taking picture but internet (and safari) hangs shortly after iMac is running.
I have this problem too. So much data is being received that what bandwidth I have left is slow. I tried turning off iCloud drive rebooting and turning it back on.
Only had this problem since since I upgraded to macOS Sierra. I only have 1M DSL so this nsurlsessiond really slows me down. Something is continually downloading data to my computer. Is there a console command to find out? Is it this Safari networking?
Exactly! My info even higher amounts!
Apple support stepped me through a process to reset my internet info and it helped but only go an hour or so.
I Will try shutting off my iCloud drive before going back to Apple for more help.
CAn anyone help us?
I turned off the iCloud Drive and that solved the issue!
Thanks!
I found thus on GitHub: https://gist.github.com/akhy/5805b48bed7d59c418ab
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.nsurlstoraged.plist |
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.nsurlsessiond.plist |
sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.nsurlsessiond.plist |
sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.nsurlstoraged.plist |
I have to turn off both iCloud Drive and Photos. Tried just the drive and it was still downloading and uploading stuff. So I tried turning off Photos and it stopped.
This is helpful, but it seems to be a temporary fix. I did it yesterday and had to do it again today. I'd love to find a permanent fix for the "nsurlsessiond"!
I do thank you!
