scanner

Since upgrading to OSX El Capitan, v. 10.11.6, I cannot scan on my Canon Pixma MG 6620. 

Both the printer function and the copying function work but not the scanner.  I have tried unplugging and un-connecting everything but no luck.  Is this a case of the scanner function just not being compatible with the new system or is this something I can do?

Try using Image Capture in Applications.
