Unable to Check for Update

Good Morning,

I just purchase an iPad Pro 10.5" and completed the setup as a new iPad.  It is currently operating on version 10.3.2 and when I go to General -> Software Update it gives me an error "Unable to Check for Update" followed by "An error occurred while checking for a software update".  I am connected to my WiFi and have downloaded other updates but this update will not work.  Any idea why the iPad Pro will not up Check for Updates?

Have you checked the wifi network to see if you have Apple's update servers blocked on it, or have you got access to a different network that you could try ?

I'm not sure how to check the wifi network to see if Apple's update servers are blocked.  I don't think they are because it allowed me to update other apps.  And, unfortunately I don't have access to another network.

Updating iOS and updating apps are two different things, they use different sites. I have the following two sites blocked on my account with my wifi network provider :

mesu.apple.com

appldnld.apple.com

That stops iOS updates downloading when I don't want them to, but it doesn't stop me downloading updates to my apps.
