internet radio stations lose connection and ski...

I'm using itunes 12.7 and experiencing a very annoying issue when trying to listen to internet radio stations.  I have  a playlist with my favorite internet radio stations saved, and itunes will just indiscriminately skip from one to another.  It absolutely can't be an issue with my network connection because I can stream through apple music with no issues whatsoever.

Any ideas on how to fix this?  I've tried making a playlist with just one station to see if that fixes the "skipping," but it just resulted in the station stopping.

This happens with every radio station I've tried, so it can't be just one or two individual stations.

Help?
