EFI boot update issue

Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with the update of efi boot on my imac and i would like some assistance.I own an imac 11,2 mid 2010 with an old efi boot version IM112.005B.B00.I've found the latest version IM112.0057.03B (2015-002) and downloaded it from Mac EFI Security Update 2015-002 . I currently run high sierra which is incompatible with the installation app of the update(It requires osx Mavericks 10.9.5).I get an error message about my macOs version and the update cannot be completed.I don't want to downgrade to Mavericks just to make this update.Could the devellopers help me??Any idea what should i do??

Thank you

Either you downgrade to apply the patch or forget about it. Or, make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.

Any way to apply the patch manually??With the scap file?

No, your system likely does not require the update. Check for updates in the Mac App store, if nothing shows  up then your system does not need it. It's really that simple!

High Sierra has a built in firmware update for most all

Macs in order to support booting and mounting of drives

using the new APFS format.

You do in fact have an updated firmware not an old:

IM112.005B.B00

IM112.0057.03B

The "005B" is a newer version than "0057".
