traceroute: thru russia, london, madrid, cape t...

Was checking my Linksys network map and found it strange there were 2 other devices with the same name I use for my personal Macbook, ex. "E's Mac"-- only the two ghost devices had been auto-categorized as printers instead of the computer icon correctly assigned to my actual Macbook. Checked device info which was almost non-existent except for MAC addresses: one 00:00:00:00:00:00, and the other took me to Intel Israel, 00:50:F1:80:00:00.


Pulled up Network Utilities, ran Netstat. Found sketchy partial IPs on link#4 and ran them thru Traceroute which produced complete IPs: Kazakhstan, Russia, back to Kazakhstan. Ran second Netstat a few hours later, also some sketchy partial IPs. Ran them thru traceroute:  Palo Alto, New York, London, Highbridge, Bilbao, Madrid, Lisbon and Cape Town.

 

I'm guessing this is benign and I'm worrying over nothing, but ... is this normal or do I have a problem on my hands?

 

Just guessing here by including traceroutes 1 and 2. Just let me know what other info is needed, if any.
