How to evaluate sellers?

1. I think the transaction score is a good way to judge a seller. More transaction score means more transactions of this seller, the transaction score tells what about the order and business status of this seller, generally stronger power seller with more transaction scores and higher Positive Feedback indicate better service and quality products provided by this seller. But in this way, it may be unfair for a good new seller, without many transactions.

2. In my experience, there will be 3 steps to find a good seller.
First, of cause it is very important to check the seller score and feedback, it represents the general business and service level of this seller, but it is not enough.
Try to chat more with the seller, to see if he is professional in the field of his business, I believe you can sense this point. Sample test is necessary for me, from a sample order I can know all details of the item and the whole business process, such as how about the quality is, how long delivery time and so on. All these factors will help me make choice that whether or not to continue business with this supplier.

3. There is a number of things I personally pay attention to.
Of course there is the feedback score, especially the feedback comment mentioning the item I consider buying and the item reviews.
chat with the seller (how often is he online? is he professional?)
real pictures of the item + is the item in stock?

4. I always check seller score, seller feedback from buyers, how many transactions they have had, picture of their products (if there are multiple, chat with the seller and ask for more details and pics of items etc

5. I always check the sellers feedback, and if they are good and deliver good products i always stick to them even if i find someone slightly cheaper. there is a saying, "better safe than sorry". also it is good to ask sellers for another picture of the product just to make sure you are buying what you want. and thats how i became a GOLD buyer :).

6. A good seller is the one who can ship to any country with reasonable price and follow up with the buyer till the buyer receives the goods. 

7. I must be honest and agree with the feedback checking, but i also like to try new sellers without feedback or little feedback so the can also build their bussiness, so when dealing with these sellers i ask as many questions as i need and to date all has be great and the new sellers start being able to build a business.

8. Below is my steps:
  • Check out the prices and the listings. Some of them said that 100 pcs for a lot in the title, but only 24 pcs in the description
  • Chat with the sellers. Ask many questions as you can create. I like to deal with sellers who speak english well.
  • Check the feedback. However, I still want to give a new seller a chance if the chat went well. Dhgate has the Escrow system. If things go wrong, I will dispute the product.
9. I personally always chat to the seller, via Chat not Messages before buying off them because I get to know if they are a professional trader, if they have good things to say. I traded with a seller in July last year who had 9 feedback and only 15 transaction or thereabouts they didn't look that great by their feedback and transaction score as they were only just starting out but I recently looked them back up and now they have over 100 feedback and over 200 successful transaction with very little problems. The reason I chose these was because of how professional they were when I talked to them about the product this is a way I choose which seller to go to, I regularly talked to a host of different sellers before choosing which to buy from.

10. In my opinion, I think the good sellers should have the following 5 essential;

(1) CUSTOMER SERVICE,
      Sellers should appreciate  all the business from the customers!
      They are willing to explain and be very patient  and polite with customers.

(2) COMMUNICATION
      Communication is the key to the successful in business. Misunderstanding  will give you a mess.
      Before and after sales follow up also is very important.

(3) REPUTATION
      Good Reputation indicates the good business practice. It also proof that a seller is more trusted by customers.

(4) Ethic
       Sellers should clearly understand  on what they are selling. As well as honestly disclosed the products detail.
       Do not misleading customers, and try to cover the unsafe facts of the products.

(5) Appropriate Accountability
     Maintaining the appropriate accountability structure. In case of unexpected happens,  good sellers should know
     how to react, and quickly finds the solution to solve such problems.

Most of the time, you can find these in the seller's feedback profile, and former / current customer's comments.
