Apple Pay with Dunkin

I wanted to create a DD perks card on the Dunkin Donuts app because i started going there alot. To create the card they require you to add funds to it. When i attempted that using apple pay I kept getting an error from apple pay but the payment was still sent to my cards statement. I am currently waiting to see if it will post and charge me for it, may take up to 14 days. But come on.. whats the deal with this? who is at fault apple pay or the Dunkin app?? this really stressed me out...

 

Also sorry for my username apple decided not to work either with any username i wanted so i just button mashed the keyboard and continued just to post this and get some information..
