why does log in take much longer in High Sierra?

I have MacBook Pro 2015 13 inch. Before the update, I had Sierra and it used to log in in a few seconds. Now it takes about a minute. Is that normal?

PS. when I click the power button, it turns on and goes straight to the log in where I enter my password. But after I enter my password it takes ages, with a progress bar showing every time

Your drive may need to be repaired, either from Safe Mode or from Recovery.
