App Store in iOS 11.0.1 still NOT working

I already updated my iOS to 11.0.1. App Store does feature apps and searches apps but can't start downloading. Also, the Updates menu doesn't feature anything - it's blank. I ran a search on the internet and followed many of the suggestions: force restart, get off VPN, restart App Store, etc... Any new suggestions?

OK, so I contacted Support directly and the guy who answered asked me to make a backup of the iPad as it was via plugging into iTunes > then erase the iPad > then restore from that backup via plugging into iTunes. (The most probable thing, he said, was that the App Store installed corruptly so we had to reinstall it by reinstalling everything in my iPad because you can't reinstall the App Store per se.) I want you all to know: IT WORKED.
