How to improve poor performance

My MacBook Pro barely runs after update to OSX12.6 which also set up iCloud and added Siri (neither of which I want). I ran Etra Check and there are processes that were killed and it's running terribly slow.  Who can guide me on steps to fix this?  Do I need to go back to previous OSX version?  How do I disable iCloud and Siri? I know Sophos can be an issue, but the machine was fine with Sophos, now the performance is very poor!

Problem: Computer is too slow

Description:

Mac Book Pro 2011 updated to OSX.12.6 and now it runs extremely slowly taking several minutes to open software, documents, and web pages. It often times out.  Perhaps I need to go back to a previous OSX?
