Create paid videos

Once you've enabled your YouTube account for paid content, you can require users to pay to view videos you upload. You can create a new paid video or convert an existing free video to require payment for viewing. When you make a video paid, the view counter no longer appears for that video.

Paid videos can also be embedded on other websites. Embedded paid videos still require payment before the customer can view the video.

Create a new paid video

1. Upload content to your channel.
2. While editing the video go to the Monetization section and click Require purchase or rental to view.
3. Follow these instructions to create rental or purchase offers for the video.
