Problem with Mac App Store

I have a very unexpected problem with my Mac App Store. I do not get any software update of macOS High Sierra in my laptop in the Updates Section. So, should I download it from the main page?? Also, I don't get XCode 9 update to in the updates section. Please advice if I should download both of them their main pages..?

One more question: If, by chance, the XCode update gets interrupted, will the update start from scratch the next time or will it continue?
