Problem with smart guitar on Garage Band iPad

I am sort of brainstorming on Garage Band for a new tune, and I tried to record some Smart Guitar parts, but the parts are not getting saved the same as they were recorded.  Notes start disappearing the longer you go into the track.  I uploaded a video to demonstrate.  Please help??

Just a couple things:

I have rebooted the device a couple times and tried to re-record the same section.  Same problem.

I tried using a different guitar sound, same problem.

I tried removing quantization and all effects, same problem.
