install iOS 11.03 update to iPad

Can't install ios 11.03 on my iPad Mini 4 from 10.3.3. It downloads but doesn't install.

Check Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (under Storage).

• Be certain you have at least 10% of the iPad's total storage free - hopefully at least 5GB.
• Be certain there are no iOS installation packages lingering on the iPad.  Delete any that you find.

Try downloading the update agin...

1. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
2. Find the iOS update in the list of apps.
3. Tap the iOS update, then tap Delete Update.
4. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and download the latest iOS update.

The original poster said the start point was iOS 10.3.3.  This iOS version does not support Settings > General > iPhone Storage (not to mention we're talking about an iPad).

You are correct, as far as the iPad Vs iPhone the experience translates so obviously iPhone would be replaced. The steps I mentioned came from Get help with over-the-air iOS updates - Apple Support

I have followed your suggestions re my iPad - I have plenty of storage on both the iPad and iCloud. It still doesn't install. It downloads and then nothing - stays stuck on installing for hours. When I check the settings I'm still on iOS 10.3.3.

It stays stuck on preparing update. No progress bar.

Another suggestion... Perhaps try deleting the download again and then connect iPad to iTunes and download and install the update that way.
