此報道稱，據四名行業高管稱，這些被調回的員工一部分來自30多家中國人開設的OPPO、vivo手機分銷公司，另一部分則很可能來自OPPO、vivo的子公司。曾代表vivo商談並簽署印度超級板球聯賽讚助協議的vivo印度區首席營銷官Vivek Zhang，在本月早些時候便已回國。行業高管稱，這些中國員工之所以被調回國，主要是因為兩大品牌在7月、8月的銷量同比暴跌了30%。

員工被召回的另一重原因就是，印度政府給他們的簽證時間縮短了，目前相關人員表示，待洞朗問題解決後，被調回國的中國員工有可能重新回到印度。
