Free downloads still asking for password after ...

I have turned off require password for free downloads but App Store still asks for my password. I have reset my settings and erased my iPad. Issue is not resolved. 10.3.3 Is this a known

This is not helpful. The helpful link was an accidental tap.

I have already signed into the App Store in settings. I am following an Apple HT article step by step.

When I try to download a free app it still requires my password ignoring my settings. I have tried to enter it now just in case this is a one time thing but the second free app I try to download also asks for my password.

Since you already tried the usual steps of a Restart and a Restore, the issue might be at Apple’s end. Reach out to iTunes Store support.
