Unable to create a new iPad Numbers speadsheet

Not sure if I’m hitting a bug or just being a doofus. I launch Numbers; Recents and Browse are empty (as expected). I tap the plus symbol in the upper-right; nothing happens. In Browse, it’s grayed out.

I tried creating a new Excel doc in Google Drive; when I tap it, the pop up selector slides over as if it’s showing me a second dialog, and then disappears 0.1 seconds later. Help?

Weird. Discovered I had the same problem in Pages. Rebooted the iPad. Fixed.
