iPad Stuck in Recovery Mode

Hello everyone, today I was trying to update my newphew's iPad to 10.3 and I installed it and tried to update it, but it didnt work. It said an error occurred when trying to update it, so I restarted his iPad, but when I tried to restart it, it just shows up with an image of the iTunes logo and a charger plugging into it (which I am assuming is recovery mode) I have tried many ways to exit recovery mode, but it doesnt work. I tried to home button and sleep/wake button method, but still doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong? Please help me!
