Hi. How do i move files on dropbox to my icloud...

My dropbox expires tomorrow... and I have been trying for a while to upload or save everything from dropbox to Icloud Drive.  I have made sure that in Icloud drive that I have enabled dropbox, but reading tips about how to do it, it is not working.

So when I select a folder in dropbox, on the ipad, I must share, which I eventually found how to do.

but then there is no option for me to share with icloud.  What am I missing?  do I need to put my icloud email address in, in order to share with myself? or how does this all work.

I really look forward to someone helping me.

thank you guys

Bronwyn

Go to iCloud.com on your computer. Sign in. Open iCloud Drive.

Tap the tiny iCloud. Tap Dropbox.

Select a folder. I chose a photo.

Watch it transfer to iCloud Drive.

hi there

I actually got it to work on my PC... and I've been uploading... but I had a look at what you saying.. I can't log into icloud on Ipad... don't know what's happening only gives me options to set up icloud and find iphone. but I logged in on PC, then created a new folder, clicked on little cloud, then followed routes to folder in dropbox, and uploading it like that, folder for folder.

Just one more question, if I delete dropbox... its ok right, because everything is in icloud now.... :-)

To do it on your iPad. Use Safari, go to iCloud.com. Hold your finger on the circular arrow until Request Desktop Site appears, tap it. Now it's just like using your computer.

About deleting DropBox. I would tranfer a folder or photo that you don't need then delete it from DropBox. It should be in iCloud Drive but it never hurt to test first.

Also there is a iCloud Drive icon you can install on your iPad but I couldn't figure out how to transfer from DropBix using it.

Remember these files now count towards your 5GB free storage and if you have alot of folders you won't be able to back-up your iPad if you run out of room.

If DropBox isn't too expensive I'd hang on to it.

Thanks for the info.  On the iPad how do select all on the dropbox files to move them to the iCloud Drive.  I could do it one at a time but would take me forever.

Thanks
