Is there a limit to the number of files the “Files” app will sync? Google drive app syncs all files just Fine but when browsing google drive in the “Files” app all files stored in a particular folder do not appear.

The Files app's limit is the storage on your device.

Your problem seems to be about another company's service not Apple's.
