iTunes 12.7 how to rearrange apps and create em...
Dear Sirs,
as iTunes 12.7 removes the opportunity to move, rearrange, create/add new empty screens on iPhones and iPad, how to manage these important activities on my device?
I am pretty irritated by the new iTunes approach and I would surely need to find a way to manage apps and screens on my devices.
Any suggestion to mitigate this "pain in the neck" introduced by this new, despicable, "light weight" iTunes ?
Hi Luca,
Here's one place to start: How to move apps and create folders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
I've been getting along okay without plugging my phone into a computer for several years now. It's nice after you get used to it.
Management of apps, books, and tones has been removed from iTunes 12.7. See Changes in the new iTunes - Apple Support for details. The intention is clearly that management of these generally takes place on the device.
See the Manually add items from your computer section of Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support for the control that remains. This can be used to copy apps, ePubs, iBooks, PDFs, and tones from your computer to your device. The File Sharing feature for copying data between apps and the computer is still there. You can also use iCloud Drive, or Dropbox to move content to and from the device.
A long time criticism of iTunes, at least from some quarters, is that has been that it has become bloated. Perhaps this is an attempt to address that. I let both my iOS devices update automatically when there is an updated app, and I'm not interested in hanging on to old apps that a developer has withdrawn, nor do I need to rearrange my apps often, so while the change is drastic, I don't think it really affects me much. I'm more irritated by the changes to iTunes U and iBooks in iTunes for Windows.
32-bit apps are not supported in iOS 11. Any data associated with such apps is lost unless the developer decides to supply an upgrade, and perhaps even then. For those yet to update to iOS 11 any incompatible apps should show under Settings > General > Applications > App Compatibility.
Use Feedback - iTunes - Apple to share your thoughts with Apple.

TT2, Richard, thanks for the replies that, though welcome, don't actually answer my question.
I knew already, and it might also be obvious, that the only way, as per Apple intent, to move and rearrange things on your device is working on your device itself, but I find it a nuisance.
Among other obvious reasons to dislike this recent choice: why can't I turn back to an older version of my app if I see that the newest is not working properly on my device? Ok Apple and the developer will not mind as I have already purchased it, but I will be unhappy and I will, for the future, avoid other purchases.
How can I add a new blank/empty screen on my iphone/iPad if I want to? Why must this useful feature be gone?
Moving and rearranging many apps (for whatever purpose Apple need not to care about) is frustrating and takes a long time: why this need to be so annoying?
What I am wondering is, if iTunes was (and I think still is bloated), why not giving a new tiny app the opportunity to manage your apps and screens on your device from your Mac?
I don't like the way Apple is recently doing things, many says that they are losing attention to details, and I might start to believe it too.
