How to add existing devices to DEP?

When ios11 was announced, it was also announced that DEP would support enrolling devices which were not purchased through specific resellers.  We have a few ipads in the organization that were purchased one at a time from various retail channels, and I would like to add them to DEP to simplify management.  

I logged into DEP today to accept the new terms and check out this new feature, but I don't see any hint of how to add a new device to dep manually.
