Recovering Bento data

The Bento app on my computer will no longer open. The database file ( a CD catalog) still exits on my iPad (I have not upgraded to iOS 11)  in the Bento app and is accessible.  Is there any way to transfer the data to a new database or do I have to manually re-enter it (yecch)?
