MacBook Air trackpad is harder to click than usual

     Hello, I've been using my MacBook Air for a long time and I have lately noticed that there was a slight change in the trackpad: it feels much harder to click it as if there is something stuck under it. Also, it no longer makes the "click" sound that it usually made. It works perfectly fine like a normal trackpad but it just clicks very unusually. I have no idea what has caused this problem but I remember a few times I have spilled liquid on it and also dropped the MacBook. So, can anyone please tell me a way to fix this, or should I bring it to a repair shop?
