4k display support for older rMBPs

My question is on older rMBPs and 4K [UltraHD 3840x2160] display support.

Newer unit is a 15" Mid-2015 rMBP 2.8 quad-core i7, 16GB RAM, 2GB Radeon R9 M370X (discrete) / 1536MB Iris Pro (integrated), two Thunderbolt ports, 20Gb/sec x1, firmware 27.1

Older unit is a 15" Early 2013 rMBP 2.7 quad-core i7, 16GB RAM, 1GB GeForce 650M (discrete) / 1GB HD Graphics 4000 (integrated), two Thunderbolt ports, 10Gb/sec x2, firmware 23.1

Both are on 10.12.6 and have all Apple and third party updates applied.

Can either of these units support 4K in the current software config, and if so, how? Can they support two 4Ks at once or would I be limited to one 4K and one 1080p display?
