Unable to play text replacement on my iPad

I am using the new 10.5 inches iPad pro with the new IOS 11.

I also have the text replacements in place and showing under key board.

When I enter the "..." shortcut, it does no play the result.  It used to under the old IOS.

I also note that I have the same problem on my iPhone 7s

It does however work well on my MacBook Pro though.

Please advise ASAP.
