i am getting itunes error 13008 while using mac...

I have music I have owned on Vinyl, Cassette, CD and iTunes music store for years. I am a practicing architect and therefore have 3d software, CAD, software, rendering Software and, video making software from various manufacturers. I need these to work. Last time I 'upgraded' my iTunes it knocked my version of CAD off right before a deadline. I just want access to the music I have bought and paid for in many formats. Stevie Wonder might ring a bell!

Jesus, I am aware enough to have my music stored on an external drive. I use Grasshopper and Rhino and Maya and lots of other softwares that require me to 'bootcamp' my MacBook pro in order to run both operating systems.

Just to get my iTunes working (for months now) I get unknown error 13008. I do not want a subscription service to iTunes radio because I don't want earworms from the latest pop star (Katy Parry, Taylor Armstrong, Kylie Jenner, Allison Simpson- whoever.) If I want that music I will pay for it by single, or album, or ep.

Jesus, Apple you are punishing long time users of your platform with this 'push media' crap.

This is now 3.5 hours out of my Labor Day Monday trying to figure this out.
