Should I upgrade Office now I have Sierra?

I finally upgraded to Sierra. I still run Office 2008 which I am still happy with (though I have had a couple of issues since I've upgraded to Sierra but maybe just need to reinstall 2008).  I mostly use Word & Excel. I've read Office 2016 can cause problems in Sierra. Should I just stick with 2008? Comments?

I can't keep up! Sheesh. I just upgraded to Sierra - now there's High Sierra.  Not sure I want to upgrade my IOS right right now - last upgrade I lost all my Mail and it took 2 weeks of Apple Support's engineers working to help me restore it from my Time Capsule. Not keen for more chaos quite so soon.

Did you run Office 2016 when you had Sierra?

Yes. I ran Office for Mac 2016 with Sierra with no issues.
