IPAD PRO 12.9 BENT
Hi i have had my iPad 12.9 and 5 months later its bent i have took it to pc world my retailer and there sent it away to there know how team i got my iPad pro back more bent then i sent it off there not willing to help anymore the iPad looks like knowhow has opend the iPad up. i have been to trading standards and there haver told me under the sales of goods act 2015 I'm allowed a refund or a replacement as im not at faulty.
so i emailed them and told them my issues there got back to me and said "the issues has been caused by possible mishandling of the product'
i asked knowhow can there prove i caused the damage there said "it would be physically impossible for us to prove that the product has been mishandled"
so i said back "you cant go around pointing the finger who caused it"
i got a email back"we or not blaming any party"
i sent one back"you said its been caused by mishandling"
yet again got one back"the tablet was in your care when the issue occurred"
i sent one back"but u just said your not pointing the blame to any party"
last one i got from them"i am unable to assist you further"
so who is to blame

so who is to blame
We are just other users like you and we have no way of knowing the answer.
If you're asking for an opinion... Unless you believe that objucts bend themselves, regardless if you bent it, or someone else bent it, or it was an accident, the tablet was in your care, therefore you're responsible.
yes i know its in my care but it just the way I'm being treated by them its unfair there blame me then says I'm not to blame i mean why would any one want to bend a iPad pro unless there is something wrong with them
I don't believe anyone is saying you bent it on purpose. But it was in your care when it was damaged.
If someone, be it you or someone else, drives and crashes your car, you can't expect the dealership to fix it for free.
The same thing applies here. It's your device. It's your responsibility to keep it safe.
If it were bent when you purchased it, you could have returned it for a replacement. But you're saying it was damaged 5 months after purchase.
I do not get the impression that you are being treated unfairly.
i have had 2 iPad pros from the same shop my first 1 bent and there give me a new one now this is my 2nd and 5months from the replacement happened again.
so many apple users are coming back to there iPad to find it bent and retailer not helping i wouldn't mind but i take care of my items and when i sell them there sell as new there that good so i really dont see how this has happened twice now
there blame me then says I'm not to blame
That's not what they're saying. The iPad was damaged while in your care so you are responsible, but they can't say that YOU bent it. They have no way of knowing who actually did it, or how it happened.
I have had my iPad Pro 12.9 the same length of time. For the longest time I thought I was "seeing things." Even when I took it into the Apple Store store two days ago, the Apple 'genius' said it was hard to tell unless you looked at it from the side where the charging place is. It is easy to convince yourself it must be an optical illusion since I KNOW I have never dropped it, never sat on it, never left it where someone might have sat it -- all the things they smarmily accused me of before I left the store. But when I took the cover off, really examined it, it's unmistakeably bent, concave, warped. And Verizon (from whom I purchased the device) sent me there, seemingly confident they would exchange it for a new one. Evidently they started out replacing them and stopped. The press needs to start doing stories on these defects in the iPads (both 12.9 and 9.7) and - GUESS WHAT - now they will. Because I am the press.
LOL. Good luck with that.
Alrighty then!!
Good Luck getting THAT story out and getting it to stick!
Had my large screen iPad Pro for over a year amd haven't had this issue of it being bent.
AND I handle/hold my large screen iPad Pro regularly with only one hand and still not bent.
I keep my iPad Pro in Apple's back case and cover.
The back case keeps the large iPad Pro pretty rigid!
I am on my 2nd IPad. My 9.7 warped so I bought a new IPad Pro 12.7 January 2017. It is now September and it has warped. I'm going to try to take it back to Wal Mart where I purchased it. Sounds like I'm going to be stuck with a defected product. I too, take very good care and value my electronics. What gives?
Accidental damage is accidental damage and voids the warranty. From Apple’s point of view, it is utterly immaterial who caused the damage or the circumstances by which it occurred. If your device is accidentally damaged, the warranty is void - end of discussion.
