messages on LTE not working

Hi

my series 3 with LTE arrived today so after setting it up I left my phone at home and took the dog for a walk. Phone calls worked a treat (both sending and receiving). However messages didn’t send, they just hung until I walked back into the house when the watch was able to reconnect with the iPhone.

Any thoughts as to what might be causing this problem would be great thanks.

I haven't had any success with cellular data. I've been able to make and receive calls, but that's it. No iMessage. No maps. No music. No Siri. I feel duped. Disappointing.
